A two time Grammy winner tweets about being in Boone, a double rainbow appears Saturday and Sunday was hot. Below are just some of the sights and sounds from over the weekend.

If you were in downtown Boone on Friday you may have spotted Melissa Etheridge. Etheridge, along with Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, performed at the Holmes Center on Friday night. During her performance Etheridge reference her time spent in town the day before the show, and had glowing praise for the area. You can see footage from the concert via a Periscope feed at this link and this link.

The High Country was spared the severe weather that hit counties to the south and east of the mountains on Saturday, but a brief shower provided just enough of the right elements for a double rainbow to form that evening.
