Traffic Alert 105 bridge work details – ***Update Wednesday June 15 – Blasting to begin on 105 at Broadstone Road bridge. Click on the link for more details. *** In general, lane closures will be permitted on N.C. 105, Broadstone Road and Old Tweetsie Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Monday through Thursday. Only nightly lane closures will be allowed on weekends. More information at this link.

Traffic Alert Tuesday Oct 4 7:45am – Wreck – on 105 bypass just above the Exxon. Expect delays in that area.

There will be traffic redirection on Queen Street beginning today, October 3rd, throughout the week for construction. Additionally, the North Depot Parking Lot's exit will be closed the duration of the construction period. Parking spaces on Queen Street, beginning at the Downtown Boone Post Office and ending at the intersection of Queen Street and North Depot Street will be unavailable due to the construction.

Traffic Alert Thursday September 29 – DOT work taking place along 105 at Rock Crusher Hill. Expect lengthy delays as the road is down to one lane in sections.

Traffic Alert Monday September 26 – DOT work taking place along 105 in Foscoe. Expect lengthy delays as the road is down to one lane in sections.

Saturday September 24 2:23pm – A water leak was found on Blairmont Drive. Water will be off to all of Blairmont Drive for 4-6 hours, and the road will be closed at 304 Blairmont Drive. For more information, please contact Public Utilities at (828) 268-6250.

Expect pregame & postgame traffic delays tomorrow, 9/24, as App State host James Madison at The Rock. Kickoff is at 3:30pm. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and stay late.

Traffic Alert Wednesday September 21 2:39pm – Wreck – area of 421 near Food Lion in Deep Gap. Portions of that road are closed for now. Expect delays & detours.

3:37pm – Hwy 421 is now open, all lanes, both directions. ***UPDATE – One lane of traffic flowing each direction now. Stay alert while traveling through the area.*** Traffic Alert Saturday September 17 1:54pm – US Hwy 421 near Landfill Road is shutdown for southbound due to an accident. Please use alternate routes.

Traffic Alert – Wednesday September 14 5pm – Wreck – area of 421/321 intersection in Vilas. Expect delays.

Traffic Alert Monday September 12, 2pm – Wreck – area of 421 at/near the turn off to the 105 bypass. Expect delays.

Sunday September 6:23am – App State had travel delays last night. They are leaving Texas this morning. Team should arrive back at Kidd Brewer Stadium approximately 10 AM.

Traffic Alert Saturday September 10 7:26pm – Getting reports of a large number of people in downtown Boone celebrating the upset App State win over Texas A&M win. Law enforcement is on the scene and has some of the area at the Appalachian Theatre blocked off. Also part of the area at the Holmes Center on campus is blocked off.

To follow up on a previous traffic post – most, if not all, of the downtown crowd has moved along. The crowds at this time, 7:57pm, are nowhere near what occurred after the Michigan win in 2007.

Traffic Alert Friday September 9 4:37pm – Wreck, in the area of 421 & Bamboo Road. Heavy traffic in that area, expect delays.

Traffic Alert Tuesday September 6, 10:11am – Accident involving vehicle and pedestrian in the area of 2711 Highway 105. Expect possible delays in that area.

Traffic Alert Monday Sept 5 12:25pm – Wreck – multiple vehicles on 105 inbound lane near Enterprise. Expect delays.
