BOONE, N.C. — Watauga Arts Council invites the community to celebrate the holiday season through creativity during Holiday Workshop Week, taking place December 1–6. The weeklong series features a variety of hands-on art workshops led by local instructors, offering participants the opportunity to learn new skills, create handmade holiday gifts and decorations, and connect with the arts community.
Workshops will explore a range of creative mediums and seasonal projects, with options for different interests and experience levels. Participants can paint a mini barn quilt with Cinda Leigh, create felt holiday ornaments and hand-painted watercolor holiday cards with Phi Perry, design a poinsettia with Kathleen Bartemes, or make hand-painted holiday gift tags with Julia Friedrich. Additional offerings include a mini holiday stained-glass workshop with Gina Williams.
Whether participants are looking to try a new artistic medium, make personalized gifts for friends and family, or simply enjoy a creative afternoon, Holiday Workshop Week offers a chance to make something unique while celebrating the season.
Workshop spaces are limited, and community members are encouraged to register early to secure their spots. Each workshop has its own schedule and registration fee, so participants should review the individual workshop details before signing up.
