BLOWING ROCK, N.C. — Big flavors. Brave plungers. Plenty to celebrate. The Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce opens ticket sales today for its signature events during the 2027 Blowing Rock WinterFest, presented by Hendrick Automotive Group. Returning January 28–31, WinterFest invites residents and visitors to embrace the season with a familiar rallying cry: Don’t Hibernate…Celebrate!
Tickets and participant registration are opening for these Chamber-hosted favorites:
- Artisan Ice Stroll | Friday, January 29 – Sunday, January 31st: A stroll through town to view all the unique and artistic Ice Sculptures with a live demo Saturday, sponsored by High Country Wellness
- WinterFeast | Thursday, January 28: Kick off the celebration at Chetola with an evening showcasing dishes from local chefs and restaurants.
- Polar Bear Plunge | Saturday, January 30: Take the plunge into Chetola Lake and become part of one of Blowing Rock’s boldest winter traditions.
- Chilly Chili Challenge | Saturday, January 30: Warm up with flavorful competition, sponsored by The Spice & Tea Exchange.
- WinterFest Beer Garden | Saturday, January 30: Gather with friends and raise a glass to winter, sponsored by The Speckled Trout.
These signature events anchor a weekend that brings people together and puts Blowing Rock’s businesses, hospitality and community spirit on display.
