Local residents may be feeling a touch of “Spring Fever” after temperatures moved past the 70 degree mark on Thursday.
71.6 degrees was the top mark at the Watauga Medical Center weather reporting station during the afternoon hours. The last time temps reached 70 or above was Friday October 20, 2017. This past weekend's high temperatures for Saturday and Sunday were also the warmest since December 23, 2017 and November 5, 2017.
The warm weather will not be sticking around with forecast highs in the 30s for Saturday, and in the 50s for Sunday through Tuesday.
