At approximately 6:30 this morning, Watauga County Communications received multiple calls reporting a structure fire with possible entrapment at the 100 block of Barnes Rd in Sugar Grove in the Beaver Dam Fire District.
One person was transported from the scene via ambulance. The structure was a total loss, with the cause under investigation.
Responding departments included Beaver Dam, Cove Creek, Foscoe, Zionville, Fall Creek, Watauga Medics, Watauga County Rescue Squad, Watauga County Fire Marshall's Office, and Blue Ridge Energy.
