UPDATE 3:43PM – The closed section is re-open fully. A steel building with hay inside caught fire early this morning. The building survived but the hay did not.
A portion of Watauga River Road remains closed at noon as fire departments continue working on a structure fire from early Friday morning. It is not known how long that portion of road will be closed. Fire departments were dispatched shortly after 7am to 3031 Watauga River Road.
