BOONE – One lane of U.S. 321 in Watauga County will close for about two weeks while a business repairs storm drain issues on its property.
The work on the Five Guys property on U.S. 321 near Shadowline Drive is not being completed by the N.C. Department of Transportation, but NCDOT is accommodating the work with strict time restrictions for lane closures.
The contractor is permitted to close the right lane of U.S. 321 North near Shadowline Drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday beginning Monday, Nov. 10.
While the work is not taking place on U.S. 321, the excavation needed to complete the project requires a lane closure because of its proximity to traffic. The contractor plans to finish work on Nov. 21.
