BOONE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will close one lane of N.C. 105 to build a concrete endwall for a large culvert Tuesday.
The right lane of N.C. 105 North will be closed near Poplar Grove Road Tuesday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. while crews begin construction on the endwall.
Crews will reinstall lane closures Monday, Oct. 27, continuing daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Thursday, Oct. 30.
Hurricane Helene damaged the original culvert, which was replaced with a larger structure to improve water flow in the area. The concrete endwall will provide structural support and protect the culvert from erosion.
