Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute is hosting two free events to help students and families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) which is the first step to applying for assistance to cover tuition and other costs for postsecondary education and training including the Next NC Scholarship.
Next NC FAFSA Night on the Caldwell Campus in Hudson will be held on Tuesday, July 15 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Next NC FAFSA Night on the Watauga Campus in Boone will be held on Tuesday, July 22 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public.
Computer access and financial aid professionals will be available during both events to help with any aspect of completing the forms and answer questions related to financial aid for college and other higher education or postsecondary training options.
Information about the Next NC Scholarship will also be available. The Next NC scholarship provides at least $3,000 to help cover community college tuition, fees and expenses for qualifying students and families with an adjusted gross household income of $80,000 or less.
