Weather: Snow, Sleet, Freezing Rain Possible Friday Night Into Saturday

Winter-like weather could have an impact on those traveling late Friday night or early Saturday morning for the upcoming weekend.

The National Weather Service (NWS) says that a wintry mix may cause travel issues during the above mention time frame. Any winter precipitation is expected to change to all rain for the rest of Saturday and Saturday evening.

Also for the last part of the weekend the main weather story will be high winds. Gusts up to 45 mph will be possible especially along the ridges Sunday into Sunday night, according to NWS.

Forecast highs for Friday are around 40 but continued windy with gusts up to 30 mph and single digit windchills in the morning.

Friday night lows in the upper 20s but will feel colder with wind gusts up to 25mph.

Highs on Saturday in the lower 40s but once again will feel colder with wind gusts up to 40mph.

Saturday night lows in the upper 20s with wind gusts up to 40 moh.

Sunday and Sunday night, highs in the upper 30s and lows around 20 with single digit wind chills.

Looking ahead to next week, Martin Luther King Jr Day forecast highs in the upper 20s with single digit wind chills.

Wind chills as low as zero for Monday night through Tuesday night and around 10 above on Wednesday morning.
