The Watauga High men's & women's basketball teams will host their first-round state playoff games on Tuesday, February 27.
Both teams are coming off winning their respective 3A/4A Championship titles on Friday night. The women beat Hibriten 68-46, to claim their third straight title. The men defeated Alexander Central 63-56, for their first title in over 20 years.
The Watauga women's team, with a record of 21-5 overall, received the #1 seed in the west and will face 32nd-ranked South Iredell.
The men's team, with a record of 21-5 overall, is the # 8 seed in the west and will take on Reagan ranked 25th.
Watauga High will be the location for both games with the women tipping off at 6 p.m and the men's game starting shortly after the conclusion of the first game.
