IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM SUPERINTENDENT ALEXANDER
TOPIC: SCHOOL REENTRY PLAN
WCS Families,
We have some exciting news to share. Thanks to the hard work of so many, our focus for next week will be to begin our reentry plan for teachers, faculty, staff, and students. WCS will utilize Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday as teacher workdays. This will allow our teachers and staff time to prepare classrooms and will give our bus drivers the opportunity to drive their new, updated routes that include many new community stops. We plan to welcome our students back on Thursday, and we will follow a regular schedule.
Families, In an effort to make this plan happen, we need your help. Tomorrow afternoon, you should receive a transportation survey from your principal requesting information so that we may solidify your child's new stop along with pick-up and drop-off times. Please respond to that survey even if your child is not using bus transportation. This will help us plan and ultimately give you the information you will need so that you may plan your day. Please complete the survey by 10:00 am, Monday, October 21st. By Tuesday afternoon, our transportation team will finalize bus routes, including drop-off and pick-up times for parents. This information will be provided to parents, along with relevant protocols needed to ensure student safety.
Again, we are excited to welcome our staff and students back to school and look forward to returning to a normal schedule.

Tenemos algunas noticias emocionantes que compartir. Gracias al arduo trabajo de muchos, nuestro enfoque para la próxima semana será comenzar nuestro plan de reingreso para maestros, profesores, personal y estudiantes. WCS utilizará los lunes, martes y miércoles como días laborales para los maestros. Esto permitirá que nuestros maestros y personal tengan tiempo para preparar los salones de clase y les dará a nuestros conductores de autobuses la oportunidad de conducir sus rutas nuevas y actualizadas que incluyen muchas paradas comunitarias. Planeamos darles la bienvenida a nuestros estudiantes el jueves y seguiremos un horario regular.
En un esfuerzo por hacer realidad este plan necesitamos ayuda de cada familia. Mañana por la tarde, debería recibir una encuesta de transporte de su director solicitando información para que podamos solidificar la nueva parada de su hijo o hija junto con los horarios de recogida y entrega. Por favor responda la encuesta incluso si su hijo o hija no utiliza el transporte en autobús. Esto nos ayudará a planificar y, en última instancia, brindarle la información que necesitará para que pueda planificar su día. Complete la encuesta antes de las 10:00 am del lunes 21 de octubre. El martes por la tarde, nuestro equipo de transporte finalizará las rutas de autobús, incluidos los horarios de llegada y recogida de los padres. Esta información se proporcionará a los padres, junto con los protocolos relevantes necesarios para garantizar la seguridad de los estudiantes.
