Governor Pat McCrory ordered all North Carolina and United States flags to be lowered immediately to half-staff on all state facilities until sunset on Monday, December 7. This flag lowering is in memorial of the victims of the violence which occurred on December 2, 2015 at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, California.
“Ann and I join with others across our state and nation in mourning the loss of life in San Bernardino,” said Governor McCrory. “This senseless act of violence and evil reminds each of us how fragile life can be and we remain thankful for first responders who pursue others that seek to do harm. I urge all North Carolinians to join Ann and me in keeping the victims, the survivors and their families in our thoughts and prayers.”
