As the snow and rain fell on Sunday afternoon, motorist encountered delays on opposite sides of the county due to single vehicle wrecks. Blowing Rock Fire Department was dispatched to an accident on 321 just across the Watauga/Caldwell line in the 5pm hour. According to scanner dispatch at the time medics were also called to respond to the scene, but were cancelled before they could arrive. Just before 5pm Zionville Fire Department was dispatched to a single vehicle accident in the area of Brown Road and Silverstone Road. No other information about either wreck was immediately available on Sunday evening.
