A Tuesday afternoon power outage lead to a few traffic problems, as the outage knocked out some traffic lights for a short time.
1,024 Blue Ridge Electric members were impacted when the outage began at 4:33pm. A track hoe doing work near Modern Toyota of Boone hit and tore down a section of power line, according to Blue Ridge Electric. Power was restored at 4:51pm, leaving power out for 18 minutes.
