Power outages impact sections of the High Country on Tuesday February 13, 2024

Sections of the High Country were impacted by power outages on Tuesday morning due to high winds.

The National Weather Service issued a High Wind Warning for much of the day on Tuesday. A peak wind gust of 52mph was recorded at the Watauga Medical Center reporting station at 7:15 am.
