Police from several organizations responded to Watauga High School on Wednesday after backup was called for.
Garrett Price, Communications Director for Watauga County Schools, says that a student at WHS initiated a fight and was restrained by the School Resource Officer. The SRO called for back-up and several Boone PD units responded. No weapons were involved, no lockdown was called and classes quickly resumed as normal.
Boone Police tweeted out at 10:47 am that no weapons were involved.
Units from Boone Police, Watauga County Sheriff's Office and ASU Police responded to the scene.

@boonepolice responded to Watauga High School this morning in response to a call for back-up after a student fight. The school did not go into lock down, and classes quickly resumed as normal.
