Cases of COVID-19 in North Carolina can now be viewed by ZIP code.
Dr. Mandy Cohen, the Secretary for the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS), made the announcement during a press conference on Friday. That press conference can be viewed below and is provided courtesy of UNC-TV.
However, data will not be released for ZIP codes with less than 500 people and less than five lab-confirmed cases due to privacy concerns, Dr. Cohen also stated.
“That doesn’t mean there aren’t people with COVID-19 in those ZIP codes.” she noted.
The data can be viewed on the NCDHHS website via this link https://www.ncdhhs.gov/divisions/public-health/covid19/covid-19-nc-case-count#zip-code-map
