Multiple fire departments responded to the scene of a barn fire on Saturday night in the Bethel community.
The fire, at 3908 Beaver Dam Road, occurred at the residence/farm of Terry and Kim Scott just before 7:30pm. The barn is a total loss and some farm equipment was also destroyed, according to Kim Scott.
The investigation into the cause is ongoing as of Sunday morning. Beaver Dam Fire, Zionville Fire, Cove Creek Fire, Fall Creek Fire (from Avery County), Watauga Rescue, Watauga Ambulance, Watauga County Fire Marshall's Office and Watauga Sheriff's Office all responded to the scene. 8:58pm – According to the owner of the barn, some farm equipment has also been destroyed in the fire but her family is safe and everyone is ok.
