The Avery Municipal Drug Task Force and Boone Police Department seized nearly three pounds of marijuana on Thursday August 27, according to Avery County Sheriff Kevin Frye.
The joint operation lead to the seizure of the marijuana, cash, and the vehicle used in the crime. The suspect was receiving marijuana from Colorado through the USPS. The Suspect would then sell the marijuana in different venues through out the US, Frye added.
