DOT Working On July 2013 Flood Damage

NCDOT will be working ,or are currently working, on the following roads in Watauga County to repair flood damage:

NC88 – small sink hole were water washed around a pipe .75 miles east from Doe Branch Road,

Elk Creek Road – roadway repair one mile from the Parkway bridge,

Linville Creek Road – repair shoulders, ditches and pipes,

Shulls Mill Road – slope repair, ditches and pipes,

George’s Gap Road – repair roadway and slopes,

Watauga River Road – repair roadway flooding .50 miles east from Rominger Road, ditches and pipes,

Roby Green Road – repair roadway flooding area,

Howard Edmisten Road – slope repair .10 mile south from US321.

Kevin Whittington, Watauga County Maintenance Engineer, adds that there is a lot of repairs on other roads throughout the county and this work will be scheduled.
