Due to the Coronavirus, the Watauga County Clerk of Courts office will be operating with a limited staff until further notice.

Diane Cornett Deal, Watauga County Clerk of Superior Court, would like to remind the public that:

Anyone needing to file documents may do so by dropping off in the box provided outside the Civil Division window.  Copies of file stamped documents will be placed in the attorney boxes and can be picked up later. (payments for filings will be receipted upon return of a cashier to the office)

Many payments can be made online at www.nccourts.gov.  You are encouraged to use the online services to pay citations and to make partial payments.

For in-person appointments with the Clerk’s office call 828-268-6600 and select option 2 to speak with a staff person.

Scheduled courts for this week will be held with most matters being heard via WebEx.  Be sure to reach out to your attorney for more information.

The Public Access area will be open for you to continue checking records and judgments without the need to enter the Clerk’s office.  Please continue to use the sanitizer wipes to clean the computers after each use.
