Pursuant to North Carolina General Statuteg 160A-71(bX1), the Boone Town Council provides notice to those concerned that an Emergency Meeting of the Boone Town Council will take place at the Council Chambers located at 1500 Blowing Rock Road in Boone and electronically on Friday, December 22, 2023 at 9:00 AM.
The purpose of this meeting will be to discuss and potentially take action with respect to a proposed Appalachian State University (ASU) 91 I Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP), pursuant to which ASU would establish an independent 911 center and thereby terminate full 911 call consolidation in Watauga County.
