As of 8 a.m., Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation linemen have all power restored in Ashe County where 513 members were affected by an outage caused by high winds slapping together power lines. Outages began at 4:55 a.m. today, primarily in the Buffalo Road area.
Overnight, linemen restored power to five Watauga County members affected by limbs on power lines as a result of icy weather. Power was lost in Watauga County around 11:30 p.m. and restored by 3:40 a.m.
Members should report outages by calling the cooperative’s PowerLine: 1-800-448-2383.

Linemen with Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation are working to restore power in severely cold Ashe County this morning where 513 members are affected.
