The N.C. Board of Transportation will hold its October meeting in NCDOT’s Transportation Division 11 from Wednesday, Oct. 5, to Thursday, Oct. 6.
In addition to the board’s regular monthly meeting, members will tour the U.S. 321 widening project in Caldwell and Watauga counties, the AppalCART bus maintenance facility in Boone and the King Street widening project in Boone. For a detailed look at the meeting agenda, visit .
This is the second out-of-town meeting the board has held this year. The purpose of holding meetings in different regions of the state is to enable board members to see transportation projects in the communities where they occur, to hear suggestions and concerns related to transportation policy, and gain more specific insight into emerging transportation trends and patterns that have the potential to impact all areas of the state.
