…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST THIS
MORNING…

  • WHAT…Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow/sleet
    accumulations less than one inch and ice accumulations of a
    light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
  • WHERE…In Virginia, Grayson County. In North Carolina, Ashe,
    Alleghany NC and Watauga Counties.
  • WHEN…Until 10 AM EST this morning.
  • IMPACTS…Untreated roads and sidewalks will be slippery and
    hazardous. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning
    commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow…sleet…or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities…and use caution while
driving.
