- WHAT…Mixed precipitation. Total snow and sleet accumulations
of up to one inch and ice accumulations of less than two tenths
of an inch. - WHERE…In North Carolina, Ashe, Alleghany NC, Watauga and
Wilkes Counties. In Virginia, Grayson County. - WHEN…Until 1 PM EST this afternoon.
- IMPACTS…Untreated roads and sidewalks will become slick and
hazardous. Bridges and overpasses will be most susceptible to
ice.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
Plan on poor travel conditions. Reduce speed and allow extra time
to reach your destination. Postpone travel if possible.
