Windy, Snow & Colder Temperatures Expected Rest Of The Weekend, Colder All Next Week

Last Updated on February 12, 2022 6:36 pm

Winter like conditions may have taken awhile to return to the area, but a return happens on Sunday. As rain moves in on Saturday it will help to bring enough moisture to change to snow on Sunday.

The National Weather Service says that measurable snowfall is likely in the High Country, with amounts up to an inch in most locations and slightly more in the higher elevations.

High winds and cold will be the main weather story, as gusts are forecast up to 45-50 mph. Wind chill values below zero are possible on Sunday night and into Monday morning. Single digit wind chills will be possible all the way through Thursday night.

Snow showers tomorrow will be caused by NW Flow. Moisture from the Great Lakes will hit our mountains, lift and condense into snow showers.
