…WIND CHILL ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 1 PM EST FRIDAY…
- WHAT…For the Winter Weather Advisory, snow. Snow accumulations
up to 4 inches with locally higher amounts above 3500 feet. For
the Wind Chill Advisory, very cold wind chills expected. Wind
chills as low as 15 below zero on Friday. - WHERE…Portions of southwest and west central Virginia and
northwest North Carolina. - WHEN…For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 7 AM EST Friday.
For the Wind Chill Advisory, from 4 AM to 1 PM EST Friday. - IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. The cold
wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not
taken. - ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Northwest winds will gust up to 40 mph
along the ridges Friday morning which will result in blowing
snow and reduced visibilities.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
