WIND ADVISORY — HIGH COUNTRY

The National Weather Service in Blacksburg has issued a Wind Advisory from 11 AM Monday to 2 AM Tuesday for Watauga, Ashe, Alleghany, Wilkes, and Surry counties.
West winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.
Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Driving may be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Combined with the Avery County Wind Advisory (gusts 50-60 mph, 4 PM Monday to 5 AM Tuesday), the entire High Country should be prepared for a windy Monday afternoon into Tuesday morning.
