* WHAT…For the Wind Advisory, northwest winds 20 to 25 mph with
gusts up to 55 mph expected. For the High Wind Warning,
northwest winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected.
* WHERE…In North Carolina, Ashe, Alleghany NC and Watauga
Counties. In Virginia, Grayson, Carroll, Floyd and Roanoke
Counties.
* WHEN…For the Wind Advisory, from 7 PM this evening to 3 PM EST
Tuesday. For the High Wind Warning, from 1 AM to 7 PM EST
Monday.
* IMPACTS…Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be
difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
