…WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 1 PM EST
WEDNESDAY…

  • WHAT…West winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph
    expected.
  • WHERE…In Virginia, Grayson, Carroll, Floyd, Roanoke and
    Franklin Counties. In North Carolina, Ashe, Alleghany NC and
    Watauga Counties.
  • WHEN…From midnight tonight to 1 PM EST Wednesday.
  • IMPACTS…Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.
    Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may
    result.
  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Areas in the Grayson Highlands and North
    Carolina Mountains will also have light snow showers tonight.
    These snow showers combined with snowfall already on the ground
    and strong wind could produce poor visibilities with blowing
    snow.

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high
profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
