BOONE, NC — Get ready to paws and celebrate! Watauga Humane Society is thrilled to announce its first-ever Pawpalooza, a pet-focused festival taking place on Saturday, July 26, from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM at Watauga Humane Society’s Adoption Center (312 Paws Way, Boone).
Pawpalooza promises an afternoon packed with local charm, community spirit, and animal magic. Guests can enjoy adoption specials, games, pet resource booths, local vendors, food trucks, dog walks, and plenty more surprises—all designed to celebrate animals and support second chances.
“This is the kind of event we’ve been dreaming about to bring together animal lovers and adoptable pets,” said Courtney Taylor, Director of Development and Communications of Watauga Humane Society. “It’s a fun festival that makes a real difference for pets in our community.”
Admission is free, but guests are encouraged to shop, snack, and donate—every dollar raised helps provide care for animals in need. To keep the spotlight on the shelter’s adoptable stars, visitors are kindly asked to leave their own pets at home.

All day Saturday, fizzEd (260 Howard Street, Boone) will donate proceeds to the lifesaving mission of Watauga Humane Society and host an After Party from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with music and drink specials.
