The first-ever Watauga County Sheriff's Office School Resource Officer meet and greet is set to take place this month. Tuesday evening August 15 from 5 pm- 7 pm at the Watauga Community Rec Center in Boone.
The purpose is to give the community the opportunity to meet with the SROs assigned to schools and to give new students a positive first impression of the officers and how they are there to help keep their schools and community safe. Refreshments will be provided.
