A Watauga County EMS supervisor is facing misdemeanor sexual battery and stalking charges following two incidents involving coworkers, according to published reports.

The suspect is identified in court records as Corey C. Greer, 34, of Conover. Greer allegedly approached a victim at a Boone business on January 10, coming up behind the employee and making physical contact while whispering sexually suggestive language. The alleged victim was also a Watauga EMS employee.

Greer also faces a misdemeanor stalking charge related to a second EMS employee. A criminal summons states the alleged harassment occurred on more than one occasion and included statements that caused the victim extreme emotional distress.

Greer was hired after Watauga County EMS transitioned from private ownership to county operation. He was charged with stalking on February 27 and was issued a $10,000 unsecured bond on the sexual battery charge, posting bond on February 28.

Greer has court dates scheduled for April 2 and April 9.
