Some Blue Ridge Electric members were without power on Wednesday afternoon, when a tree fell into the power lines after being struck by a vehicle.
Renee Whitener, with Blue Ridge Electric, tells WataugaRoads.com that 42 members were affected in the Dutch Creek area of Valle Crucis, when a vehicle rolled down a hill hitting a tree, and that tree fell into the power lines causing a pole to break. As of 2:50pm linemen had all but two members back on.
