Two local DMV office, and 8 total in western NC, will be closed for a one-day training session either Monday, Sept. 12 or
on Tuesday, Sept. 13. The closures will be for one day only; all offices will re-open on the following business day at 8a.m., according to a press release from NCDOT.
Offices closing on Monday, Sept. 12 are located in Jefferson, Elkin, Taylorsville and Yadkinville.
Offices closing on Tuesday, Sept. 13 are located in Boone, Hudson, Mount Airy and Wilkesboro.
Other activities scheduled at these offices, such as hearings or school bus training, will continue to be held. You are urged to call in advance of the closings with any questions.
