Over the weekend Town of Boone Mayor Rennie Brantz declared a State of Emergency (SOE). The declaration is in conjunction with the SOE issued by Watauga County over the weekend.
“The purpose for declaring the State of Emergency is to ease the financial and resource restrictions in accordance with North Carolina General Statutes.” stated Deron Geouque, Watauga County Manager, in the County declaration.
