5:30am – main roads appear mostly wet, gravel roads are snow covered after another round of snow fell on Wednesday night. Black ice is possible this morning so caution is advised.
5:35am from Watauga Communications – West side of the county main roads are ok other than some ice. Side roads are covered and very slick. At this time no word on east side. Blowing Rock also pretty slick and somewhat snow covered in places. West side is more trouble – Vilas Zionville, Bethel areas.
6:20am – Getting a report that some side/secondary roads are also snow covered but no major travel issues
