The High Country could be in line for strong to severe weather for the upcoming weekend.
A cold front will approach the area this weekend and in advance of it a few strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible across the area on Friday into Friday evening, according to the National Weather Service.
As the front stalls across the area on Saturday chances for localized flooding increase, NWS says in a Thursday morning update. The stall could result in one geographical location receiving multiple rounds of heavy rain in a short period of time.
The chances for shower and storms stays in the forecast until at least Wednesday.
