ALLEGHANY…NORTHEASTERN WILKES AND NORTHEASTERN ASHE COUNTIES IN
NORTHWESTERN NORTH CAROLINA…
At 418 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Laurel Springs,
moving east at 20 mph.
Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with this storm.

Laurel Springs…
Traphill…
Glendale Springs…
Mc Grady…
Stone Mountain State Park…
and Abshers.
Locally heavy rain will quickly reduce visibility and result in
ponding of water on roadways, standing water in low lying areas, and
minor flooding of creeks, streams, and areas of poor drainage.
Drivers are urged to slow down and use extra caution to avoid
hydroplaning.
