WILKES…SOUTHEASTERN WATAUGA AND SOUTHEASTERN ASHE COUNTIES…
At 414 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Idlewild, or
near Glendale Springs. The storm is nearly stationary. Other storms
were developing over western Wilkes County.
Winds up to 30 mph are possible with these storms.

Boone…
West Jefferson…
Blowing Rock…
Traphill…
Foscoe…
Glendale Springs…
and Deep Gap.
Due to the slow movement, the persistent heavy rain may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
