Monday September 18

Early reminder for the upcoming weekend: Allow PLENTY of extra travel time in the area. With a sold out game between Wake Forest & ASU, a heavy amount of increased traffic is expected for that event alone. Fall color vistors, along with other events in the area, will also lead to congestion.

Tuesday Sept 19

Upcoming traffic reminders: Watauga Schools let out half a day on Wednesday. Allow plenty of time around Boone on Saturday due to Wake/ASU game.

Meadowview Drive is closed in Boone so that  Street Department can work on storm drainage issues.

6:21pm – Wreck on 194 north near the dumpster site. Expect delays in the area.

Wednesday Sept 20

Be alert for increased traffic in school zones and buses on the roads starting at noon, as it's an early release day for Watauga Schools.

Thursday Sept 21

Allow plenty of extra travel time this weekend. Sold out Wake/AppState game, fall leaf color visitors and other events will lead to congestion on the major roads.

3:43pm – Expect possible delays on Blowing Rock Road near Hardee's due to wreck.

Friday Sept 22

Plan ahead and allow PLENTY of extra travel time around Boone on Saturday for the Wake/AppState game.

9:47am – Wreck – 221 North at 421. Expect delays in that area.

Construction operations continue today on 321 in Blowing Rock with flagging operations/lane closures/pilot truck operations currently scheduled from Green Park Inn southward for paving. Expect delays.

Friday Sept 22 12:13pm – Wreck – 321 & Cone Orchard Lane in Blowing Rock. Expect delays in the area.
