Reporting Potholes Just A Click Away, New State Law Mandates 48 Hour Fix Window

A new state law will not only make reporting potholes easier, but a mandated time frame will allow motorist statewide to see results faster. In 2015 the North Carolina legislature passed a new measure requiring NCDOT to be more responsive to motorist complaints and issues. Starting January 1, 2016 NCDOT is required to fix potholes withing two business days and items such as broken signs or guardrails within 10 days.

Motorist can report pothole issues through a new reporting system the state unveiled. The site is available at this link. Reports can also be called in by telephone to (919) 715-7000.
