Residents in Valle Crucis reported a salesperson with the company “Steaks Express” going door to door on Wednesday evening (May 11,2016).
A local resident sent this in via twitter – “Had pushy/fishy sounding man come to our home off Dutch Crk & try to sell us steaks. Anybody know about this?” On a personal note this same “salesman” showed up in my driveway while honking his horn to make me come out. Upon questioning him thoroughly he was not even aware of which county he was in.
According to the Better Business Bureau there is a long track record of complaints against this company.
As always if you feel there is a possible scam happening report it to the Watauga County Sheriff's Office or Boone Police.
