Fire crews from multiple departments were dispatched to an early morning fire that closed a section of Pinnacle Drive. Shortly before 5:30am fire units from Boone, Cove Creek, Foscoe, Zionville along with Watauga Medics and Watauga Rescue Squad were dispatched to a structure fire of a two story residence at 608 Pinnacle Drive.
First arriving fire units noted light smoke coming from a basement area and the situation was contained by Boone Fire, according to scanner dispatches at the time.
