A peaceful protest is planned to come through downtown Boone around 5:30 today and should be over around 6:30pm, according to Lane Moody, Downtown Development Coordinator with the Town.
The protest, against racial injustice, is made up of the ASU Football team and will begin on campus, come up Appalachian Street, follow King Street to Burrell Street and then back to campus.
They will walk along the sidewalk and should not be in the roadway. Boone PD and ASU Police will be assisting with the event.
