Monday October 26

No flagging/lane closure operations are currently scheduled today on 321 in Blowing Rock. Motorist should remain alert to construction crews and equipment possibly working along the shoulders throughout the project ***

With the increase in traffic volumes in the area during the Fall leaf season, motorists are encouraged to continue to stay alert for vehicles entering/exiting US321 and side roads as well as private and business driveways, from Norwood Circle to Food Lion Shopping Center, as ALL TRAFFIC remains in a temporary pattern on the future northbound lanes through this section of the project.

12:40pm – possible delays on 105 bypass near the Coke plant due to accident & possible delays on Blowing Rock Road near McDonalds due to AppalCart bus broke down and unable to move.

 

Tuesday October 27

Due to rainy weather, no flagging/lane closure operations are currently scheduled today on 321 in Blowing Rock. Motorist should remain alert to construction crews and equipment possibly working along the shoulders throughout the project

3:34pm – Expect delays on 421 near the Parkway bridge due to tractor trailer on fire. See this link for more information.

 

Wednesday October 28

Due to weather, no flagging/lane closures currently scheduled today on 321 in Blowing Rock.

 

Friday October 30

2:47pm – Expect detours on a portion of State Farm Road due to reported fire in the breaker box portion of Kangaroo gas station.

According to scanner dispatch, State Farm Rd near Watauga Medical expected to be open around 3:45pm.

4:55pm – State Farm Rd is back open.

6:02pm – The blocked off portions of King Street have been re-open. Traffic should be returning to normal, after portions were blocked off due to Boone Boo.
