This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north central North Carolina,
northwest North Carolina, central Virginia, south central Virginia,
southwest Virginia, west central Virginia and southeast West
Virginia.
.DAY ONE…Today and tonight.
Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Sunday through Friday.
A cold front passes the area Monday to bring a period of below
freezing temperatures and wind chills possibly in the single digits
for the mountains Tuesday morning. Additionally, winds behind the
front Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning may gust 30 to 40 mph
with locally higher speeds possible.
